OSHA Electrical Safety Course Available on Maui

The PIRM Group International LLC recently conducted its first new OSHA and NFPA 70E 2015 “Low Voltage Qualified Person” course on Oʻahu on March 20, 2015.

County government and private sector employees took the course to meet new OSHA Electrical Standards and NFPA 70E Standard For Electrical Safety In The Workplace.

The objective was to assist Oʻahu Federal OSHA branch compliance officers with information to help ensure employers improve workplace safety and health for workers performing electric work.

Electrical work is the fifth cause of death in general and in construction industry. Since the National Fire Protection Association helped OSHA develop the NFPA 70E Standard For Electrical Safety In The Workplace, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics has seen electrocution statistics slowly drop due to NFPA 70E industry consensus standard to OSHA requirements.
