Polynesian Entertainment by Ke Kani Malie at Baldwin Museum

The public is invited to enjoy Polynesian entertainment by Ke Kani Malie lead singer Kaniala Masoe and group members Melody Masoe, Nicole Respicio and Kimo Brehm at Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s free, monthly Hawaiian Music Series concert on Thursday, April 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the Baldwin Home Museum lawn.

Although Masoe enjoys performing different genres, he is best known for his Hawaiian music renditions.

Masoe was raised in a musical family from Hilo, and gifted with a natural singing talent. The 30-year old has since blossomed into a versatile musician, hula dancer, songwriter and entertainer.

In 1995, Masoe recorded his first album, “Something Special,” with his parents, Iwalani and Fono Masoe. In 1998, he released “Aukahi Pride,” and in 2004, “Pili Aloha.”

In 2002, Masoe won the Aloha Festivals Hawaiian Falsetto Competition. He moved to Maui in 2009 with his wife, Melody and five children.

Masoe will be accompanied by his wife and and Respicio dancing hula and bass guitarist Brehm.

Limited seating is provided for kūpuna; blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome.

This ongoing Hawaiian Music Series program is supported by Hawai‘i Tourism Authority and the County of Maui Office of Economic Development.

Baldwin Home Museum is located at the corner of Dickenson and Front Streets in Lahaina.
