Cazimero & Helm to Perform Lei Day Concert at The MACC

Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s annual Lei Day tradition continues with a Hawaiian music concert featuring Robert Cazimero and Raiatea Helm in the Castle Theater on May 1 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Although the annual Cazimero Lei Day Concert will not include Roland Cazimero this year, special  guest, the “Sweet & Lovely” singer-musician Helm, will join Robert along with musicians and dancers from his award-winning Hālau Nā Kamalei.

Pre-show festivities will start at 5:30 p.m. in Yokouchi Pavilion, featuring live entertainment, island-style food and beverages, and island crafters with local arts and crafts, and a selection of fragrant lei for purchase.

Hula by Hālau Kamaluokaleihulu with Kumu Hula Kahulu Maluo will be performed on the pavilion stage.

Tickets are $12, $28, $40 and $55 (half-price for keiki 12 and under), with discounts available to MACC members. Tickets may be purchased at Box Office between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. in person or by calling 242-SHOW (7469), or buy tickets online 24/7.

The Lei Day Concert concert is part of The MACC’s Ho‘onanea Hawaiian Series. This program supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, the County of Maui and KPOA Radio.
