Limited Scholarships Available for ‘Startup Weekend Maui’
The Maui Economic Development Board is offering a limited number of Second Annual Startup Weekend Maui scholarships for Hāna, Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi residents who have ideas for a new business.
The goal of Startup Weekend Maui, scheduled for May 15 to 17 at MEDB’s Malcolm Center and at the Maui Research & Technology Center, is to inspire entrepreneurs to launch a start-up business in just 54 hours. The event will bring together entrepreneurs of different backgrounds, including software developers, marketers, designers and other enthusiasts. The event offers a fun, intense, risk-free way to get a start-up off the ground; connect with other passionate and skilled individuals; and perhaps find a co-founder or two to transform their ideas into reality.
The number of scholarships are limited. The scholarship application deadline is midnight, on Thursday, May 7. No applications will be accepted after the deadline. To apply, go online.
