A Small Craft Advisory is posted for the ʻAlenuihāhā channel through 6:00 p.m. Thursday. East winds up to 25 knots are expected with rough seas up to 10 feet.

North: Surf expected up to knee/waist high (largest on the Hana side). Otherwise, spots that don’t catch trade swell will be flat.

West: Knee/waist high waves are expected today. Best breaks get a little bigger on the sets.

South: Waist/chest high waves are expected today. Best breaks could get a bit bigger on the sets during the best tides.

Screen Shot 2015-06-24 at 6.24.10 PMA new south-southwest swell starts to slowly build and fill in Thursday/Friday before beginning to fade on Saturday. A couple of swells are due in early next week as well.

Out of the North Pacific conditions will be pretty flat with no significant swells on the horizon.

Trade swell it expected through the next few days in the knee/waist/chest high range.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
