Looking Ahead
Moderate to locally strong trade winds are expected through next weekend, bringing periods of clouds and showers to the islands. Fewer showers are expected over Maui County on Wednesday. Although showers will tend to favor windward areas, the winds will be strong enough to push them to leeward areas at times. Another increase in showers is possible this weekend as an upper level disturbance moves toward the islands from the northeast.
Today
Today we expect partly sunny skies with scattered morning windward showers. Leeward areas in Maui County are expected to be mostly sunny after a few isolated morning showers. High temperatures from 86° to 91°. Northeast winds are expected from 10 to 20 mph.
UV index at 10 (“very high” exposure level)
Tonight
Northeast winds are expected this evening from 10 to 20 mph. Low temperatures from 75° to 80°. Partly cloudy skies are expected in the evening with scattered showers for windward spots and isolated showers for leeward areas.
