Registration Opens for Maui Jim Maui Invitational Coaches Clinics
The Maui Jim Maui Invitational hosts two coaches clinics this month as part of the 2015 Adidas Hoops Clinics presented by Hawaiian Airlines. The clinics will be held on Maui on Oct. 22 and in Honolulu on Oct. 25, 2015.
The clinics are designed for high school, middle school and community basketball coaches.
This year’s clinics will feature three-time conference Coach of the Year Herb Sendek, Maui Jim Maui Invitational Tournament Chairman Dave Odom, Chaminade men’s basketball coach Eric Bovaird and Chaminade women’s basketball coach Bobby Keanini. Instructors will share their knowledge and insight on game strategies, management styles and best practices.
Coaches clinics include the following:
- Maui Clinic: Thursday, Oct. 22 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. (check-in 5 p.m.) at Maui High School, 660 Lono Ave., Kahului. Community, high school and middle school basketball coaches are invited to participate. Oʻahu Clinic: Sunday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (check-in 9:30 a.m.) at McCabe Gym, 3140 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu. Community, high school and middle school basketball coaches are invited to participate. The 2015 Adidas Hoops Clinics presented by Hawaiian Airlines is made possible with support from Adidas, Hawaiian Airlines, the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaiʻi and the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation along with HMSA Blue Cross Blue Shield, Pepsi Hawaiʻi, Foodland, the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority and the Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau.
