‘Goodnight Gecko’ Author to Host Family Event on Saturday

Goodnight Gecko author Gill McBarnet will host a free storytime reading of her latest book, The Rainbow Mermaids of Hawai‘i, at the Lahaina Barnes & Noble on Saturday, Oct. 24, starting at 11 a.m.

A pre-Halloween costume parade and prize contest for keiki up to six years old will follow the reading.

McBarnet, Hawai‘i’s bestselling children’s author, will commemorate the 25th anniversary of Goodnight Gecko this November with a limited run of 10,000 copies featuring an embellished version of the original cover with a special edition stamp on it.
