    Looking Ahead

East-southeast winds are expected to lead to land and sea breezes over most of the island chain during the next several days. A front stalling near Kauai is forecast to produce moist and unstable conditions across the western end of the state on Sunday and Monday, followed by a return of the trade winds on Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Today

Today partly sunny skies are expected with building clouds and scattered showers in the afternoon as the sea breeze develops. High temperatures from 83° to 88°. Variable winds are forecast up to 15 mph. Local sea breezes are expected in the afternoon for interior and leeward areas and afternoon haze is likely.

UV index at 9 (“very high” exposure level)

    Tonight

Variable winds are expected up to 15 mph. Low temperatures from 72° to 77°. Mostly clear skies are expected as the land breeze takes hold and pushes any cloud cover out to sea.
