“Bath & Body Works is an innovative retailer and great compliment to our expanding family of national names,” said Todd A. Vines, marketing manager for Queen Kaʻahumanu Center in an announcement earlier this year. “We’re proud that Bath & Body Works chose Queen Kaʻahumanu Center for its first Hawaiʻi location outside of Oʻahu.”

In June Maui Now reported that the retail chain submitted an application for a $706,000 building permit to occupy space within the Queen Kaʻahumanu Shopping Center in Kahului.

Retailer Victoria’s Secret also filed an application for a building permit at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center.  That store is now under construction and will sit to the back and right of center stage.  The new store for women’s intimate apparel will also be the first for that retailer on Maui, and the first on the neighbor islands.

“Victoria’s Secret has, by far, been one of the most requested retailers by our community,” said Vinesin an announcement in August.

Both companies are specialty stores that are part of the L Brands international company, which also includes PINK, La Senza and Henri Bendel.
