“Refreshing.” It’s a word that can describe time spent experiencing Maui’s peaceful and authentic community of Hana.

“Refreshments.” Enjoy some uniquely-crafted cocktails and “Hawaiian pub grub” at Travaasa Hana, the hotel with a newly-named restaurant called The Preserve Kitchen + Bar. There’s also a fresh new menu, created by executive chef, Jason Johnson. See more about the food here.

“Refreshment.” That’s without the “s,” and it’s how Travaasa Hana is describing its $12-million property-wide restoration project. All 70 units are being updated with new furniture and soft goods, like sheets, curtains and towels. Local contractors like JD Pacific and East Maui Construction are handling the work, which is slated to be done around Christmas. Meaning, soon.

“Hunton Conrad, a Maui designer, came in to capture the authentic feel of Hana and transfer that into the rooms for our guests to experience,” explains Travaasa Hana general manager David MacIlwraith.
