A High Surf Advisory is in effect through 6 a.m. Wednesday for the north and west shores of Molokai and the north shore of Maui. This advisory could be extended if conditions warrant.

A Small Craft Advisory is posted through 6 a.m. Wednesday for all Maui County coastal waters and channels.

North: Wave heights are expected to be head high/overhead to double overhead at the best breaks on the sets.

West: Surf is pretty flat today for west shores that aren’t catching the northwest. Breaks catching the wrap could get up to overhead or more on the sets.

South: Surf is waist high or less today.

Screen Shot 2016-04-12 at 9.02.54 PMOur current northwest swell is expected to slowly ease Wednesday and Thursday. Another swell is expected around April 15th.

Not much expected out of the SPAC anytime soon. Minimal southerly swell is expected to trickle in over the next few days. Swell is possible around April 18th or so.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
