NW Fading Today, New NW Swell Mid Week

A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Maui County waters through 6 p.m. Monday and could be extended if conditions persist.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be shoulder high/overhead today, occasionally a bit bigger at the best breaks and exposures but fading through the day.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today for west shores that aren’t catching the northwest. Breaks catching the wrap are expected to be up to shoulder/head high or more.
South: Surf is waist high or less today.
Our current northwest swell is expected to slowly fade Monday. Mid week another round of swell is forecast, peaking late Wednesday.
Not much expected out of the SPAC anytime soon. Minimal southerly swells will trickle in over the next few days. The next swell is expected to build in Thursday and peak Friday.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
