Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be overhead to double overhead today or more. The best breaks could get a bit larger from time to time.
West: Surf is pretty small today for west shores that aren’t catching the northwest. Breaks catching the wrap are expected to be up to double overhead at the best exposures.
South: Surf is knee/waist high today to start, building to shoulder high by sunset.
Our current northwest swell is expected to slowly fade over the weekend. A possible swell could move in Wednesday the 27th and another on the 29th. Will keep an eye on it.
A new south-southwest is expected to build in Thursday and peak Friday up to shoulder/head high at the best breaks. Another smaller south-southwest is expected for the weekend but not expected to increase wave heights over what the fading swell will already be providing.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
