Maui Democrats Host Annual Convention, May 7

Governor David Ige and US Senator Brian Schatz will keynote the Maui County Democratic Party’s Annual Convention on Saturday, May 7 at Maui Waena Intermediate School in Kahului. State Senator Gil Keith-Agaran will serve as convention chairman.

Registration will begin at noon with business commencing at 1 p.m. The cost is $15 until Thursday, May 5 and $20 at the door.

Business includes voting on the Party’s platform, considering resolutions, electing State Central Committee members, receiving legislative updates and planning for the state and national Democratic conventions.

Party representatives say Councilmembers Gladys Baisa and Michael Victorino, both who will be retiring at the end of the year, will be honored for their service on the Maui County Council.

All Democrats or those interested in joining the Party are encouraged to attend. Online registration and information is available at www.MauiDemocrats.org.
