Looking Ahead
A weak front will cross over Maui county Monday night and Tuesday. Moisture associated with this gradually dissipating front will then remain stalled over the island chain for much of the upcoming week. Gradually strengthening trade winds are forecast through Monday, which will focus most of the clouds and showers over windward slopes and coasts. After prevailing through the week, trade winds may weaken again next weekend.
Today
Sunny skies are forecast in the morning with partly cloudy skies and scattered showers in the afternoon. Variable winds are expected from 5 to 15 mph. High temperatures from 84° to 89°.
UV index at 12 (“extreme” exposure level)
Tonight
Northeast winds are expected around 10 to 20 mph. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with showers likely for windward areas. Partly cloudy with isolated showers for leeward spots. Low temperatures from 68° to 73°.
