Repair work on a leaking water tank has been completed ahead of schedule, prompting an early end to water conservation requests.

The Maui Department of Water Supply previously advised water consumers of the repair work scheduled for today and tomorrow, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and asked all affected consumers to conserve water to prevent water service interruption.

All water consumers in the following areas are asked to conserve water until 6 p.m. tonight (June 14, 2016) as the water tank is brought to a normal level:

  • Puʻunēnē: Central Maui Baseyard; Army National Guard Armory; and Maui Humane Society
  • Kīhei: Hale Kai Street; Hoalike Street; Maui High Tech Park; Auhana Road, from Haukai Place to Kuli Puʻu Street; Haukai Place; Aluna Place; and Auina Place
  • Wailuku Country Estates
  • Māʻalaea
  • Wailea
  • Mākena
