West: Surf is waist high and occasionally chest high today out of the southwest. Spots from Kihei to around Olowalu/Lahaina will be smaller due to shadowing from the other islands.
South: Surf is waist high today with the best breaks getting up to chest high on the sets.
Our current south-southwest swell is slowly fading into the weekend. A new overlapping pair of southerly swells will fill in Sunday and peak Monday and Tuesday around chest high. These swells will fade from midweek through the weekend. We may get some small overlapping swells for the first week of July.
ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW ADTrade swell will bring choppy surf to northeast exposures Saturday with an easing trend on Sunday.
Quiet in the North Pacific at this time with nothing of note generating swell energy for the foreseeable future.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
