“Large Sinkhole” Reported in Oceanview Estates, Waiehu

Maui police report that there is a large sink hole fronting 1306 Kilou Street in Waiehu.

There was a sinkhole reported at the same location four months ago (as shown in the accompanying photo).

Motorist are asked to use caution as crews from the County of Maui Public Works Department works to repair the hole.

Police advise motorists to expect intermittent closures and traffic contra-flow as work is being done.
