Trade Swell up a Notch Today

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Friday for all Maui County waters for northeast to east winds up to 25 knots or more and seas of 6 to 10 feet.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Wave heights are expected to be around waist/head high.
West: Surf is ankle/knee high today. The best breaks could get up to knee/waist high on the sets out of the south-southwest.
South: Surf is around knee/waist high today. The best breaks could get up to chest high on the sets from time to time.
Only small southerly pulses are expected this week and next. We may see better swells stacking up for the second week of August out of the South Pacific.
Trade swell is expected to increase over the next couple of days for Thursday and Friday.
Frank & Georgette are not likely to send significant swell to the Hawaiian Islands.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
