The Hawai’i Department of Transportation advises motorists that Hāna Highway (360) will be closed in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 13, near the Honomanū area, on Monday, Aug. 1 through Friday Aug. 5, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, for slope stabilization work.

Crews will be excavating loose material and will improve stabilization of the slope on the makai side of the road.

Electronic message boards have been posted throughout the area to inform motorists of the closure. Emergency vehicles and first responders will be allowed through the work zone during closure hours. HDOT advises the community to plan ahead and adjust their commutes to avoid this location.
