Plan Your Route: Maui Road Closures Aug. 5-12

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting a number of road projects on Maui during the week starting Friday, Aug 5, 2016, and ending Friday Aug. 12, 2016.

Department officials say lane closure scheduled may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

HAʻIKŪ

Hāna Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Left lane closure on Hāna Highway in the eastbound direction between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keʻanae Road on Friday, Aug. 5, through Friday, Aug. 12, over a 24-hour period, for roadway improvements.

Hāna Highway: (Night Work) Closure of Hāna Highway in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 13, on Monday night, Aug. 8, through Thursday morning, Aug. 11, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for slope stabilization work.

KAHULUI

Kūihelani Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Right lane closure on Kūihelani Highway in the northbound direction between Honoapiʻilani Highway and Puʻunēnē Avenue in the vicinity of Maui Lani Parkway on Friday, Aug. 5, through Friday, Aug. 12, over a 24-hour period, for paving work.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: Lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in the westbound direction between Wharf Street and Kahului Beach Road on Monday night, Aug. 8, through Friday morning, Aug. 12, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for utility installations. The sidewalk will be closed on Thursday night, Aug. 11, during the closure hours.

KĪHEI

Mokulele Highway: Alternating lane closure on Mokulele Highway in the southbound direction between North Kīhei Road and Mehameha Loop on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for paving work.

WAILUKU

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: Alternating lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in both directions at the Kainani Street Intersection on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for curb installations.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: Alternating lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in both directions between Mahalani Street and Maui Lani Parkway on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement striping installations.

Main Street: Alternating lane closure on Main Street in both directions between Kaʻahumanu Avenue and High Street on Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for traffic signal improvements and pavement striping installations.
