Zika meeting, Aug. 17, 2016.

A community informational meeting on Zika virus is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Velma McWayne Santos Community Center (395 Waena Street, Wailuku, HI 96793).

The meeting comes on the heels of two lab confirmed cases of Zika on Maui.

Maui District Health Office Dr. Lorrin Pang will discuss the medical and biological impacts of the Zika virus, and Public Health Educator Sara Routley will discuss methods for mosquito control, current distribution and trends of Zika virus, and the life cycle of the virus.
