Manpower Shortage Interrupts Lahaina Refuse Service

Lahaina manpower shortage.

Due to a manpower shortage, a refuse route in Lahaina was missed today, Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016.

The trash route will be completed tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 9th instead.

The affected areas in Lahaina include:

Lahainaluna Road; Liloa Street; Hope Kana Plane; Kuialua Street; Laʻalo Street; Paunau Street; Kahena Street; Kaʻakolu Street; Kalena Street; Kelawea Street; Front Street; Shaw Street; Alio Street; Ilikahi Street; Kaeo Street; Kamano Street; Kamaula Street; Pualei Drive; Hōkiokio Place; Kai Hele Kū Street; the Launiupoko area, as well as all surrounding streets and roads.

Department representatives apologized for the inconvenience and thanked the community in advance for their understanding and cooperation.
