Plan Your Route: Maui Road Closures Sept. 10-16

The state Department of Transportation will be conducting a number of road projects on Maui during the week starting Saturday, Sept. 10, and ending Friday, Sept. 16, 2016.

Department officials say lane closure scheduled may change at any time without further notice.  All projects are weather permitting.

HAʻIKŪ

Hāna Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) 24/7 lane closure on Hāna Highway in the vicinity of Mile Marker 13, on Friday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 16, for slope stabilization work. Traffic will be contraflowed through the open lane.

Hāna Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Left lane closure on Hāna Highway in the eastbound direction between the Garden of Eden Arboretum and Keʻanae Road on Friday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 16, over a 24-hour period, for roadway improvements.

KAHULUI

Kūihelani Highway: (Weekend/Night Work) Right lane closure on Kuihelani Highway in the northbound direction between Honoapiʻilani Highway and Puʻunēnē Avenue on Friday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 16, over a 24-hour period, for paving work.

Kaʻahumanu Avenue: (Weekend/Night Work) Left lane closure on Kaʻahumanu Avenue in the westbound direction between Wharf Street and Kahului Beach Road on Friday night, Sept. 9, through Saturday morning, Sept. 10, and Monday night, Sept. 12, through Saturday morning, Sept. 17, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for utility installations.
