“Endless Summer” Makawao Third Friday Party

“Endless Summer” Makawao Third Friday Party

The next edition of the Makawao Third Friday Town Party takes place this week on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event theme this month is “Endless Summer,” and features a night of music by local band, Marimba Komborera, on the main stage.

This is a rain or shine FREE community event. Baldwin Avenue will be closed from 4:15 to 9:30 p.m. to accommodate the festivities.

Wahine Love will host their official opening party, featuring karaoke music by Pearl Rose from 6­ to 8 p.m. The store will have opening party discounts and special treats.

Nightcruising Podcast will broadcast live from the Sip Me Coffee Shop courtyard all evening.  Also, check out line dancing performed by Keone’s Hot Lava Studio near the corner of Baldwin Avenue and Makawao Avenue at 7 p.m.

The event also features a KEIKI ZONE, located in the Komoda Bakery parking lot. The Spider Jumper bungie trampoline will be present, as well as a face painter and balloon animals. Makawao Boys & Girls Club will be offering fun keiki activities and selling shave ice as a fundraiser.

For dinner, there’s a variety of Makawao restaurants or visit the pop up food court near Designing Wahine. A new table seating area will be available near Gecko Trading Company and Volcano Spice Company.
