Maui Sports Medicine Seminar Targets High School Students

All high school students interested in Sports Medicine through hands on activities should enroll in the upcoming Maui Sports Medicine Seminar.

The MSMS will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Seabury Hall’s Gymnasium and Creative Arts Center in Olinda, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event is open to all high school students (grades 9-12). Registration fee is $15 and includes lunch and a T-shirt.

Local health professionals will be among the guest speakers.

Topics of discussion will include:

  • Ice applications
  • Crutch fitting
  • Proper squatting and spotting
  • Splinting
  • Foam rolling
  • Medical imaging
  • Rehabilitation techniques
  • Functional movement screening
    The Maui Sports Medicine Seminar is brought to you by the Maui County Athletic Trainers’ Association.
