Maui County Surf Forecast
North: New NW swell fills in and tops out with chest-overhead high surf at exposures and a few bigger sets at standouts later in the day. Meanwhile, ENE tradeswell provides waist-chest occasional shoulder high waves for the better easterly exposed spots of the island.
West & South: Fun SSW swell eases with knee-waist high surf at exposed breaks and some sets up to chest high at standouts. NOTE – Due to shadowing by Kaho’olawe/Molokini, much of SW Maui (especially from the Makena area through Olowalu) will be smaller or even flat.
Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
