Maui County Surf Forecast

North:  Old NW swell eases with waist-head high surf at exposures and a few bigger sets at standouts early in the day. ENE tradeswell provides waist-chest occasional shoulder high waves for the better easterly exposed spots of the island.

West & South: Old SSW swell eases with knee high surf at exposed breaks and some sets up to waist high at standouts.  NOTE – Due to shadowing by Kaho’olawe/Molokini, much of SW Maui (especially from the Makena area through Olowalu) will be smaller or even flat.

Keep in mind surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
