“We are proud to support the efforts of NVSBW on Maui to provide education and training to our veterans and to acknowledge the contribution of veterans to the Maui community,” said Dennis Kwak, the director of Veterans Business Outreach Center of Pacific, a University of Hawai‘i at Hilo program in a cooperative agreement with the US SBA.
The continuing growth of veteran-owned businesses in America’s small business landscape led the U.S. Small Business Administration to announce the nation’s first Veterans Small Business Week in 2014.
In 2015, the U.S. Senate signed a bill that proclaims every year’s first week of November as National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW).
