Kalama Park Athletic Fields to Close for Renovations

Several athletic fields at Kalama Park will be closed for more than two months due to turf management and renovations at the county facility.

Work will begin on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 and conclude by Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, with fields scheduled to reopen by mid-February.

The fields that will be closed are: Dorvin Leis Field #1, fields #2 and #3 as well as Multipurpose Field Mauka #9.

The rest of Kalama Park – including the tennis and basketball courts – will remain open to the public.

Authorities with the County of Maui Department of Parks and Recreation apologized for the inconvenience.
