A High Surf Advisory is posted through 6 a.m. Saturday for north facing shores of Maui and Molokai.

A Small Craft Advisory is posted for all Maui County waters through 6 p.m. Sunday.

North: Wave heights are overhead to double overhead at the best breaks and fading through the day.

West: Surf is basically flat today. Northwest Maui will be a bit bigger but not as big as direct exposures.

South: Surf is basically flat today.

screen-shot-2016-11-18-at-8-06-47-pmOur current north-northwest swell is fading out over the weekend. A north-northwest is forecast to build on the 23rd with head high to slightly overhead surf at the best exposures. Another swell is forecast for the weekend after Thanksgiving as well.

Nothing significant is expected out of the SPAC for the foreseeable future.

Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
