Hāna Highway Rockslides

Honomanu – 01/01/17 Hana Hwy partially blocked (Jan. 1, 2017, 12:30 p.m.)

Rock slide on Hana Hwy in the area of Honomanu Bay. Also a large tree branch down blocking Hana bound lane at MP21. Emergency crews are working to clear both areas.

ROAD CLOSURE: HANA HWY AT KAUMAHINA 10 a.m. 12.31.16

Hana Hwy (360) is closed to traffic between Kaumahina Park and mile-marker 15 due to flooding and landslides. State Highways Division crews are on scene. It is unknown how long it will take to clear the road. Motorists are advised to stay off the roadway until the weather subsides.

HĀNA HWY AT W KUIAHA RD, and at HONOMANŪ: 6:06 a.m. 12.31.16

A rock slide and a large boulder is blocking the Hāna Hwy East bound lane in the area 400 yards on the Kahului side of West Kuiaha Rd. State Hwys emergency crews are enroute.

In Honomanū at MP13, there is a large landslide and a tree is blocking the Hāna bound lane. Also at MP16 there is a smaller rock slide blocking the Hāna bound lane. State Highways Division emergency crews are enroute.

HĀNA HWY ROCKSLIDES: 3:51 p.m. 12.30.16

Hāna Hwy (360) is closed to traffic between mile-marker 16 and 13 in Hāna due to flooding and rockslides. State Highways crews are on scene. Motorists should expect delays.
