The progressive group Organizing for Action will discuss the cost of repealing Obamacare for Maui’s citizens during a gathering this Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the UH Maui frontage lawn on the corner of Wākea and Kamehameha Avenues.

Group organizers say Special guest Hawaiʻi Senator Roz Baker will be in attendance along with two community members who will speak about what repealing Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act means to them, and who it will affect their lives.

Organizers say this is just one of many issues that are changing day to day in DC. The gathering will offer those in attendance a chance to get the latest information, and talk with your senator about protecting and expanding healthcare for all.

According to the Organizing for Action website, the group calls its work “a movement of individuals coming together to fight for real, lasting change.”
