Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Welcomes Kevin Peterson as Hotel Manager

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua has appointed a new Hotel Manager, Kevin J. Peterson.

Peterson has years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently working at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Resort.

After graduating from The University of California, Irvine, Peterson moved to the Aloha state, where he worked at the Grand Wailea Resort as Director of Food and Beverage for over seven years.

“We’re excited to welcome Kevin Peterson to our talented team here at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua,” says General Manager Mike Kass. “His expert hospitality experience and understanding of our local Hawaiian culture makes him an ideal asset and we look forward to welcoming him to the family.”

When he’s not working, Peterson enjoys being involved with the local community and doing outdoor activities with his wife, Trina and Maui-born daughter, Keely. They enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking, and spending time with their black and white Pomeranian, Panda.

In the past, Peterson has held positions with Hilton Anaheim & Towers, Sandy Lane Hotel and Spa, and Pebble Beach Company at The Inn and Links at Spanish Bay.

In his new roll, Peterson will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the resort, including the six dining options, authentic Ritz-Carlton Spa, Kapalua, and world-renowned Jean-Michael Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program.
