Waiale Park Playground Replacement Begins

The Maui Department of Parks and Recreation will begin construction to demolish and replace the existing playground equipment at Waiale Park on Thursday, March 30, 2017.

The project will also include the installation of a new playground surface and adding an accessible walkway from existing accessible parking stalls to the playground area.

While the contractor for this project works on the playground, parks employees will also be working on improvements on the field, basketball courts and restroom facilities.

Work at the Waiale Park is scheduled to continue until August 31, 2017. During this time the county asks that residents please remain outside of construction area barriers for safety reasons.
