Maui Heart and Stroke Walk, April 8
The Maui Heart and Stroke Walk will take place tomorrow, April 8, to help raise funds to help prevent heart disease and strokes on Maui.
The walk starts at 8 a.m. at Keopuolani Park in Kahului, opening ceremonies and registration begins at 7 a.m.
Heart disease and strokes are the leading causes of death in Hawaiʻi. The organization teams along with millions of volunteers nationally help to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide lifesaving tools and information to prevent and treat these diseases.
Local business employees, community organizations, friends and family will gather to learn, share and practice lifestyle habits that will help lead to a healthier Maui. Participants are encouraged to raise funds to support the Association’s work to end heart disease and stroke.
