Wailuku Gas Prices Move Down Slightly
Gas prices mostly stabilized throughout the state, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch.
Gas in Wailuku today averaged $3.50 for a gallon of regular. That’s two cents lower than last Thursday, one cent lower than a month ago and 38 cents higher than on this date a year ago, according to GasPrices.AAA.com.
Today’s statewide average price is $3.05, which is one cent less than last Thursday, one cent lower than a month ago, and 44 cents higher than on this date a year ago.
In Honolulu, the average price is $2.91, which is one cent more than last Thursday, three cents less than on this date last month and 48 cents higher than last year. And in Hilo, the average price is $3.02, which is unchanged since last week, four cents lower on this date last month and 41 cents higher than on this date a year ago.
“While Honolulu gas prices have been hovering in roughly about the $2.90 range, motorists should continue to shop around for the best price possible, consolidate errands and make sure their spring car maintenance is up to date for the best gas mileage,” said AAA Hawaiʻi General Manager Liane Sumida.
