Traffic Advisory: Honoapi‘ilani Flooding

(Update: 8:21 a.m. 4.29.17)

Traffic going over the “Pali” section of the Honoapiʻilani Hwy to and from Lahaina is slow moving due to water flowing over the roadway.  Maui police say that despite the road conditions, the highway remains OPEN.

Maui police advise motorists to take heed, be very aware of others and drive with due care until the inclement weather subsides.

It is advised to stay off the roadways if possible until the rain passes.

There is a flood advisory posted for Maui until 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, and a flood watch in effect until Sunday afternoon.
