Maui Libraries Host Hardware Science DIY Events

To celebrate the Hawai‘i State Public Library System’s 2017 summer reading program, three Maui libraries will host a keiki Do-It-Yourself and Discover-It-Yourself event between June 23 and July 15, 2017.

This year’s summer reading program theme is “Build a Better World,” and HouseMart Ace Hardware and HouseMart Ben Franklin Crafts will present a free special Hardware Science program that ties-in to the theme.

Keiki (ages 5 and older) can enjoy fun and interactive activities that focus on building and science at the following Maui Libraries:

· June 23, 3 p.m. – Kahului Public Library

· June 28, 9:30 a.m. – Lahaina Public Library

· July 15, 10 a.m. –Makawao Public Library

The program schedule is subject to change. Young keiki must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
