UPDATE: A Maui man suffered fatal injuries in a motorcycle crash reported just before noon on Sunday on the Hāna Highway (36) in Pāʻia.  Maui police have since identified the man as Christopher Andricopoulos, 46, of Kīhei. Further details are posted at the following direct LINK.

UPDATE: Hāna Highway is now OPEN as of 1:51 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

Hāna Highway is closed at Baldwin Avenue in Pāʻia due to a motor vehicle accident reported at around 12:09 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

The closure extends along the highway between Baldwin Avenue and Lae Street.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes while police conduct a traffic investigation.

Police say there is no estimated time on when the highway will be reopened.
