Par Hawai’i is pumping up support for Special Olympics Hawai’i for its 12th consecutive year. The annual Fueling Dreams campaign starts on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, and allows island drivers to make a donation to Special Olympics Hawai’i at any one of 45 participating Hele, 76 and Tesoro stations throughout O’ahu, Kaua’i, Hawai’i Island and Maui through Aug. 8, 2017.

All funds raised will directly support the cost of facility rentals, equipment, food, lodging, and transportation for the more than 1,200 athletes and coaches scheduled to compete at this year’s Holiday Classic, November 11-12, 2017.

Par Hawai’i, marketer of the Hele, 76 and Tesoro brands of gasoline in the islands, has been supporting Special Olympics Hawai’i for more than 27 years.

“Our entire team is very passionate and proud of our involvement with Special Olympics Hawai’i,” said Eric Lee, Par Hawai’i’s Vice President of Retail. “From volunteering at their annual State Summer Games to hosting our annual Fueling Dreams campaign, we are truly humbled by the support of our employees and the community. Over the years, the Fueling Dreams campaign has raised more than $650,500 for these amazing athletes.”

During the campaign, Special Olympics Hawai’i and Par Hawai’i will give away three $500 gift cards. A $5 donation will provide one entry, and a $20 donation will provide five entries. The more entries donated will help ensure a better chance to win a $500 Hele, 76 or VISA/American Express gift card. A donation is not required to enter the drawing. For a free entry blank, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Special Olympics Hawai‘i, P.O. Box 3295, Honolulu, Hawai‘i 96801.

“Par Hawai‘i and its predecessors have been one of the greatest supporters of Special Olympics Hawai’i and we are excited to have one of our longest-running annual fundraisers return for another year,” said Nancy Bottelo, Special Olympics Hawai’i president and CEO. “Each year the money that Par Hawai‘i raises plays a critical role in our work to help fuel the dreams of athletes with intellectual disabilities.”
