The 45th Annual Kupuna Aloha Luncheon was held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Grand Wailea Hotel in the Grand Ballroom.

In attendance were Governor David Ige and Mayor Alan Arakawa, who both gave remarks at the event, along with 550 kupuna, guests and dignitaries.

The First Annual Kupuna Advocate Award was given to Speaker Emeritus Joe Souki and Deputy Water Director Gladys Baisa.

Lance Rae from Walk Wise Hawaii was the keynote speaker and entertainment was be provided by Pearl Rose and Kaina Kountry, who had the kupuna up and dancing along to country tunes.
