Alerts (as of 1:00 a.m.)

High Surf Advisory: Through 6 p.m. Saturday for all south shores.

Special Weather Statement: Coastal flooding associated with king tides is possible over Labor Day weekend. The greatest potential is in the afternoon hours when the highest tides are expected. This coupled with an elevated south swell could compound the problem.

Check our breaking news section for any urgent weather alerts or updates to the weather alerts listed above.

Looking Ahead

A front is helping to block our trade winds and winds are slowly weakening and shifting out of the south for the holiday weekend and into early next week. This means muggy conditions are in the forecast. Clouds and showers will become focused over leeward and interior spots through early next week, especially through the afternoon and early evening periods. Warm and muggy conditions will likely continue through much of next week. Volcanic haze will also be a problem for some areas starting Sunday.
