Early Voting Ends Thursday, Late Voter Registration Resumes at Polls
The public is advised that early voting services for the Primary Election will end at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018.
Late voter registration and in-person voting services will resume on Primary Election Day, Aug. 11, 2018, at all polling locations between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Anyone in line at 6 p.m. will be allowed to vote.
Anyone wishing to register at the polls on Election Day should report to the correct polling place based on their residential (physical) address. Visit elections.hawaii.gov to find your polling place. (You can view a sample of your ballot by visiting the same link). Individuals completing the late voter registration process in the wrong polling place will be directed to the correct polling place to cast a ballot.
Voters registering at the polls are reminded that they may experience increased wait times as they will be required to complete a Registration Affidavit Form and await confirmation that they are at the correct polling place.
Acceptable ID includes a Hawaii Driver License, Hawaii State ID, Military ID, Passport, or a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government issued document showing name and address.
The qualifications to register and vote are you must be a U.S. Citizen, Hawaii resident, and at least 18 years old.
Vote-by-mail voters have until 6 p.m. on Election Day to submit their voted ballot to any polling place within their county. A voted ballot postmarked on Election Day, but not received by the Clerk’s office by 6 p.m. will not be accepted.
