Moriwake was placed under arrest and transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center for treatment of injuries he sustained in the collision.

The circumstances of this incident remain under investigation.

The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to call police at 244-6400.
