Maui County Department of Water Supply personnel are on their way to Lower Honoapi‘ilani Road in West Maui as of 2:54 p.m., Oct. 23, 2018, to fix a waterline break. The road will be closed this afternoon as soon as the crew arrives from Kahului.

The estimated time frame for the road closure is approximately 4 p.m. to midnight.

The waterline break is located between Ho‘ohui Road and Kepola Street. Motorists are advised to follow traffic control and use an alternate route.

In addition, customers in the area will be without water service during the repair job. Customers may want to flush their waterlines for a short time this evening to ensure that no sediment has accumulated in their waterlines during the repair. Customers are asked to call the 24-hour service line (270-7633) only if a water emergency occurs.
