Keawakapu Beach Parking Lot Closed for Construction

The South Maui Parking Lots Improvements Project will continue construction with the closure of Keawakapu Beach parking lot, at the corner of Kilohana Drive and South Kihei Road, on Wednesday,
Jan. 2, 2019.  The work at this location is anticipated to be complete by Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.

During the closure the parking lot will be re-paved and improvements will be made to the landscaping, accessibility, and safety.

The public is asked to be aware of construction activities and equipment and to observe all posted signage. The construction contract was awarded to Maui Kupono Builders for $527,572 and includes improvements and repaving of beach parking lots at Kamaole I, Kamaole III, Keawakapu, and Po’olenalena.
