Maui is gearing up for the arrival of the New Year and is celebrating in many different ways. Below we’ve compiled a list of New Year’s Eve events for you, your family and friends here on Maui.

New Year’s Eve Buffet at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel

Ka’anapali Beach Hotel will host a New Year’s Eve buffet from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tickets are $75 per person and include a glass of champagne. Children ages 6 to 12 are $45 and children 5 and under are free.

New Year’s Eve DTH Speakeasy Celebration

Down the Hatch hosts a Speakeasy-themed New Year’s Eve party. PC: DTH.

Down the Hatch, voted the best bar on Maui in 2017 & 2018, will be hosting a speakeasy-themed celebration for the New Year.

Guests are invited to dress up in their best 1920’s attire to celebrate the New Year with a champagne toast, bubble drop, two full bars, and a live DJ.

The event begins at 8:30 p.m. and ends at 2 a.m.

New Year’s Eve Fleetwood’s on Front St. Celebration

Fleetwood’ on Front Street is hosting a NYE Party with Mick Fleetwood & guests on Monday, December 31, 2018. PC: Fleetwood’s on Front St.

Mick Fleetwood & The Island Rumours Band with special guests will host a New Year’s Eve celebration at Fleetwood’s on Front St.

Later in the evening, DJ ILLZ, a Maui based DJ and turntablist, will perform a rooftop dance set.

Public Aerial Fireworks 

This year, there are two public aerial fireworks displays:  one from an offshore barge at the Grand Wailea Resort; and the other at the Four Seasons Resort Lānaʻi.

Both shows begin at approximately 11:59 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

During New Year’s Eve, please drink responsibly and practice safe driving habits. For Maui residents, AAA Hawaiʻi will be offering a Tipsy Tow Service, a free towing service during New Year’s Eve to assist potentially intoxicated drivers.
