Kīhei Roadwork Interrupts Maui Bus Service
The closure of South Kīhei Road for resurfacing work from Kūlanihākoʻi to Kauhaʻa streets has temporarily resulted in the closure of eight bus stops in Kīhei, the county Department of Transportation reported.
The road closure has affected north- and southbound stops on both sides of streets near South Kīhei Road’s intersections with Piʻikea Avenue, Waipuilani Road and Kūlanihākoʻi and Kaonoulu streets.
The bus stops are on the Maui Bus Island Route #10 and the Kīhei Villager Route #15.
The closures will remain in effect until March 6, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays only.
Maui Bus fares are $2 per boarding or $4 for a daily pass. Monthly passes also are available.
Bus riders can see where buses are located, in real time, and check on predicted arrival times by using the Maui Bus app, available on iOS and Android at mauibus.org.
